WIP: Glottkin - Building Priming, and Puttying

How to build a Glottkin! Click the link for more pictures and ramblings.

Glottkin is totally assembled and primed now. Fairly simple and straightforward, and hardly any fudging from the instructions. Unfortunately, the way he's parted out makes subassemblies pretty much impossible, or at least much more of a headache than its worth. To that end, the above video steps you through doing one leg, but the entire process can be extrapolated to the entire kit, as the instructions demand.

A few things of note as I built this to look out for: As you are assembling, there will eventually be a domino effect if everything isn't flawlessly aligned, as each piece relies on the piece before it to be the foundation. When I finally got to the head, there were some millimeter thick gaps in unreachable places, so putty wasn't an option. Instead, I just shoved Aves Apoxie into the gap from behind to let it ooze a bit out, and you can't tell it from the folds of fat and flesh.

I also used Tamiya's Surface Primer for the first time. I originally, due to the name, thought this was simply a brush on primer, until I happened upon a modeler using it as a putty. Turns out, this stuff is putty mixed in thinner, and is fantastic for brushing into small unreachable gaps:

After a quick round of sanding with just some 300 then 400 grit sandpaper, the end results is far better in this situation than simply gluing and sanding after primer:

Lastly, I was able to finish up the two brothers that perch atop this behemoth. Next up is a base coat!!!
