A repop styrene kit put out by Polar Lights.
Put this guy together for a Polar Lights online model contest on a whim. As with all Polar Light throwback kits, the fit and the sculpt leave a whole lot to be desired. With such a little amount of detail, its near impossible to get paint to give good effects, but I gave it a shot.
Unfortunately, this was done way before many of the other Cap stuff was out, so my choices for Captain America subject matter were underwhelming. now, we have amazing computer generated kits by Dragon out, along with lots of garage companies putting out stuff as well.
Used Tamiya's clear blue on the water splash, which is by far the best part of this kit. In all honesty, this was an exercise in drudgery from start to finish, which is why it doesn't even sit on my shelf anymore.
