Model Showcase: Nightcrawler (Garage Kit)
My favorite X-Man in 1/6 scale resin by KOMA.
While the sculpt and pose leave a lot to be desired, the character Nightcrawler has always been one of my favorites. Flamboyant, outgoing despite his physical deformity, into classic movies, deeply religious...he has a lot going on as opposed to most of the other characters.
This was a difficult one to do, as the sculpt was more in line with the Horizon style kits, despite this one being resin. Very bland, which wasn't good considering how difficult his colors were...reds and whites are near impossible to paint well, and dark blue and blacks, without detail can get lost. Again, I did this one a very long time ago, before I had my airbrush, so painting on layer after layer of thin red for his suit was quite time consuming.
Also, he had a strange quirk...the tail was cast in metal, which required a much different approach when it came to prepping the piece.
