Model Showcase: Ghost Rider (Garage Kit)
A very cool first kit by Brothers in Resin.
Years ago, an online friend of mine from a garage kit message board had started his own garage kit company called Brothers in Resin. This was their first kit, and it was a great way to start out business.
The entire head and fist were cast in clear orange resin. The idea was to either light it, or like I did, let the light hit it for some cool effects.
The problem with that is, if there were any flaws, there's absolutely no way to fix it, and once you paint, that's it, no going back, so no mistakes! Fortunately, there were zero flaws in the casting, so the orange resin is perfect. I painstakingly took my time painting the areas around the orange to make no mistakes, though working with something translucent can sometimes wreak havoc on the eyes and depth perception. However, it came out very well, and I was very pleased with then end result.
