WIP: Star Wars Imperial Assault Minis

Just some quick hits while the glue dries on my inserts! Click for more!

A few groups that I completed here and there between doing laundry, dishes, feeding kids, and creating the custom inserts for the board game. Above is the Royal Guard. Not much new for him. Just base coated in red, washed in a black/red mix, then highlights brought back up on the cloak. The helmets were just a slightly brighter shade of everything I did the cloaks in, then with a dash of gloss coat over the top to set them apart. There are four of them, but they're indistinguishable from each other.

Next are the Tusken Raiders and/or Sandpeople, depending on how PC you are. Just muted earth tones on these guys. Also able to batch process the four of them. Light sandy browns for the tunics, washed with sepia and highlighted with muted neutral browns, and the darker browns where in a similar color family, but the main difference is they were washed in a dark brown and the highlights were a little more brown, a little less sandy colored.

Finally is Luke Skywalker! Sans lightsaber, this is the early version of the character. He has a lot of light colors which are tough to capture at this scale, and with the amount of detail (or lack thereof) in the sculpt. He came out okay, if not a little too in the "tan" family for his tunic. Still remembering this is for a fun game, not a contest, so I'm probably not going to touch him up any, since its still obvious who it is. Base will need to be painted black, but like the ones before him, I'm waiting til they're all done and batch processing the black bases.

Again, thanks for looking! These aren't the final color corrected pics or anything, those will come when they're ALL complete. In the meantime, you can  check out all the painted SWIA minis here!
